Charlene became involved in the business of sports management when she and her husband, Clyde purchased the Class A Minor League Elmira Pioneers Baseball Team.  As owner/operators, they each assumed management roles with the team.  Charlene spent ten years as Ticket Manager & Financial Services Director.  During this time, she also assisted the NY-Penn League President with umpire payroll and League A/R & A/P.  In 1966, she was named NY-Penn League Female Executive of the Year.

After selling the team and moving to Indianapolis, IN, Charlene became the Manager of Finance & Administration in the League Office of the Central Hockey League, where she managed the finances and the risk management programs for the 14 team league.

Returning to baseball in 2003, she spent time as the Ticket Manager for the New Orleans Zephyrs and the Manager of Group Sales and Parties for the NJ Jackals.  For the last 3 ½ years Charlene has served as Financial Services Director at a local Christian Youth Camp & Retreat Center.

Charlene is a member the church choir and serves as Church Treasurer.  She and Clyde have 3 children and six grandchildren.
